Your ancestors' records are in France.
I find them, translate them, and send them to you.

No French needed. No hours lost in foreign archives. No record found, no charge.

    Three ways I can help

Research in France only, by a named researcher you can write to.
Prices are shown up front, and you only pay for what is found. Every request is checked free of charge.

    One record

    Found My French Ancestor

One record: a birth, marriage or death in a French parish or civil register.

    • You know the town and the year (±5 years)
    • Search completed within 5 days
    • Transcription and English translation included — often sold separately elsewhere

From per recordRecord found: you pay. Not found: nothing to pay.

    Several generations

    Found My French Ancestors

Several generations, starting from a French record you already have.

    • Paternal line: the father and his wife at each generation
    • Full generation: every ancestor of that generation (2, 4, 8, 16…)
    • Full transcription and translation included for your starting ancestor and their parents

From per ancestor foundPrice depends on the generation. Ancestor not found: only a small research fee.

    Before you order

    Research plan

Missing the town or the date? I first study your clues and tell you what is possible and where to start.

    • Which records you can hope to find
    • How far back you could go
    • No research results revealed at this stage

Deducted from your next order, if placed within 30 calendar days of my reply.

    How it works

    1. Tell me what you knowName, town, approximate year, and the record you are looking for. A photo of an old document, a family Bible or a gravestone can make all the difference.
    2. Your card is authorized, not chargedA temporary hold is placed through Stripe, the secure payment platform. No money leaves your account yet. How does a card hold work?
    3. I search the registersI book a slot for your search and tell you the start date up front. Then I search for up to 5 days.
    4. Found, or nothing to payFound: great news! You receive your record with its transcription and English translation, and your payment goes through. Not found: the hold is cancelled and you pay nothing.
